My name is Gillian Nussbaum-Edmunds

Born and educated in England, after leaving secondary school, I spent the following two years studying for a National Business Diploma.   In Switzerland I met and married my husband we subsequently ran our own business in the Hotel and Catering Industry.

After the births of our two sons I trained as an English Language Teacher at The Bell School in Norwich, England in 1994. There I gained the RSA CELTA – a recognized qualification for teaching English as a second language to adults.

Since then I have run my own school in Basadingen, where I teach and coach small groups or individuals. I also teach in-company, at the moment in a bank, a chemical company and a technology company - some companies require one to one coaching others, group work for their employees. In the past I worked for KV Schaffhausen, teaching Cambridge Exams and the HKG Stettbach.

The variety of students I teach, their different needs and the challenge of developing their needs make my career absorbing and fulfilling.

Since qualifying as a teacher I have been closely involved with the English Teachers Association of Switzerland. I was the Regional coordinator for Winterthur, then Secretary on the National Board and finally Links / Web coordinator for the Web team. I regularly attend workshops and seminars to remain at the cutting edge of my profession.
